Butler County Department of Emergency Services Launches New Community Alert System
January 28, 2026

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BUTLER, PA – The Butler County Department of Emergency Services is pleased to announce the launch of Regroup,
the county’s new mass notification system. This transition replaces the previous CodeRED system and offers enhanced
security, faster delivery, and a more user-friendly experience for Butler County residents.

“Our top priority is ensuring that our residents have the information they need to stay safe during an emergency,” said
Steve Bicehouse, Director. “By moving to Regroup, we are providing a more reliable and secure platform for critical
alerts such as 911 outages and updates, public safety threats, and major infrastructure disruptions to name a few.”
Important Action Required: Due to the transition to this new secure platform, all residents must register for a new
account, even if they were previously enrolled in the CodeRED system. Registration is free and takes less than one
minute.

Residents can sign up by visiting www.butlercountypa.gov/224/EmergencyServices911 and click on the Stay Informed:
