Evans City Continues a Decade-Long Tradition of Honoring Veterans with Banner Program
April 16, 2024

Now in its tenth year, Evans City continues a deeply-held tradition of honoring local veterans. From Memorial Day to Veterans Day, over 300 banners featuring veteran’ photographs line the streets in the borough to form a visual tribute to their service and sacrifices.

Over time, some banners have weathered and faded. The borough encourages residents and the families of veterans to submit a request for a replacement banner.

A $40 fee covers the cost of each replacement banner, ensuring the tribute remains fresh and respectful.

For more information or to participate in the banner replacement program, please contact Mayor Dean Zinkhann.
