Evans City Extends Gratitude to HRG for Charitable Contribution to Local Food Cupboard Amid Critical Infrastructure Projects
November 1, 2024

Evans City Borough Mayor Dean Zinkhann, as well as the Borough Council, would like to recognize and thank engineering firm Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc. (HRG) for their generous November 1, 2024, donation to the Evans City Community Food Cupboard at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.

In October of every year, HRG conducts a month-long collection of most-requested items at regional food pantries as part of giving back in the communities they serve. HRG was instrumental in the successful completion of the 2024 Elizabeth Avenue storm sewer replacement project (Phase I) and is currently completing design and permitting for a Phase II stormwater project and a Harrison Street Bridge replacement project, both currently slated for 2025.

HRG also provides the ECWSA with engineering services related to potable water distribution, as well as sanitary collection and treatment.

The Evans City Community Food Cupboard is a partner of the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, that collects and distributes food and other household goods locally to people in need. Distributions and donations are facilitated on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month, from 8:30-10:30am. They may be reached at 724-538-0542.
