Marburger Farm Dairy, a staple in Evans City, Pennsylvania, has once again taken home top honors at the 2022 Los Angeles International Dairy Competition. After a hiatus due to the pandemic in 2020, Marburger submitted their products to be judged by a panel of experts in different categories. This year, they received gold medals for their 2% milk and gourmet buttermilk, as well as a silver for their whole chocolate milk.

According to Kelsey Rush-Walko, the human resources manager at Marburger, the criteria for judging varies depending on the product being submitted. Factors such as fat content, quality of flavor, creaminess, and consistency are all considered when evaluating the entries. Rush-Walko also attributes Marburger’s use of vat pasteurization to the successful texture of their buttermilk, which is the farm’s best-selling product.

With gold awards in 2017, 2020, and now 2022, Marburger Farm Dairy’s gourmet buttermilk continues to be a standout product. Rush-Walko explains that the cultures and milk processing methods used by the farm are key factors in determining the flavor and quality of their products. Marburger Farm Dairy’s ongoing success in the LA International Dairy Competition is a testament to the farm’s commitment to producing high-quality dairy products for their customers.
