Evans City Area Volunteer Fire Department

ECVFD serves the residents of Evans City Borough and Forward Township for Fire, Rescue and QRS. The ECVFD includes 30 active members who respond to an average of 170 calls per year. The Department was founded in 1896 as the John A. Irwin Fire Company, named after the original benefactor.

Connoquenessing Valley Regional Emergency Management Agency

Evans City Borough is a founding member of the Connoquenessing Valley Regional Emergency Management Agency (EMA). The agency manages the borough’s emergency management responsibilities along with other member municipalities.

Evans City Public Works Department

The Evans City Public Works Department is responsible for the streets and stormwater in the borough.

Evans City Water & Sewer Authority

The Evans City Water & Sewer Authority is an independent agency responsible for operating the water and sewer plants, the infrastructure, and current and pending projects both within and outside the Borough. The Authority sets uniform rates to assure adequate, safe, and reasonable service.

The Authority meets on the last Wednesday of every month at the Borough building.

Evans City Park Authority

The Park Authority is a self-supporting government-run entity created by the Evans City Council to oversee the building and operations of the park and pool. The Park Authority does not have a stable revenue base or receive any tax money to rely upon to maintain and update programs or amenities. Support comes from revenue and fundraising.

Right to Know

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Right to Know Law (RTKL), 65 P. S. §§ 67.101-67.3104, provides citizens the right of access to public records, and sets forth the conditions under which a document maintained by a Commonwealth agency is deemed a public record.

Lien Letter Request

A lien letter is required for the sale, transfer, and/or refinance of property of property. The purpose of a lien letter is to certify that there are no municipal claims such as water, sewage, sewer assessment, etc. against the property being sold, transferred, or refinanced. If there is a claim on the property in question, the letter will provide the amount necessary to cover the claim(s). The fee for a municipal lien letter is $20 per parcel and should be addressed to the:
