Brightspeed will be installing a new fiber network for internet and phone services in our community.
Below are the details regarding this project:
- Enhancements to Internet and Phone Line Services: The new fiber network is specifically designed to significantly upgrade our community’s internet and phone services, offering enhanced speed and reliability. Please be aware that this upgrade does not include cable TV services.
- Utilizing Existing Infrastructure: Brightspeed plans to efficiently integrate the new fiber lines with their current overhead/aerial copper network lines by wrapping the new fiber lines around the existing aerial copper lines.
- Minimal Disruption: Brightspeed anticipates minimal to no disruption to daily life. Since the work is primarily focused on the overhead lines, there’s no expected need for ground digging. Almost all the work will be conducted on the existing infrastructure above ground.
- Project Timeline: The installation work is set to kick off by the end of this summer and is expected to span over 2-3 months.
- Optional Service: Participation in connecting to the new fiber network is completely optional for residents. There’s no obligation to hook up to the new service once it becomes available.
This project is intended to upgrade our community’s connectivity infrastructure. It is important to note that connecting to Brightspeed’s new internet and phone services is completely optional for residents. Learn more about Brightspeed here.
