Snow Route Emergency Effective:

THROUGH
Monday, January 26, 2026, at 12:00 NOON
Due to the anticipated impact of ‘Winter Storm Fern” this weekend, the Borough of Evans City is declaring a Snow Route Emergency in accordance with Borough ordinances.
Residents are reminded that vehicles must be removed from all designated snow routes during a snow emergency. Failure to remove vehicles prevents Borough Public Works from properly plowing, treating, and maintaining roadways, which directly impacts public safety and emergency access throughout the community.
IMPORTANT: Vehicles left on snow routes or, non-snow routes, along curb lines may become plowed in with substantial snow accumulation as snow removal operations continue. The Borough is not responsible for vehicles that are snowed in as a result of routine plowing operations.
Public Works crews require clear streets to safely and effectively address snow and ice conditions. Vehicles left on snow routes significantly delay plowing operations and create hazardous conditions for residents, motorists, and emergency responders.
Enforcement WILL be in effect during the snow emergency. Vehicles remaining on snow routes may be subject to ticketing and/or towing as provided for under Borough ordinance.
Alternate Parking Locations
Residents needing to relocate vehicles may use the following locations:
- EDCO Park
- Upper parking lot of the former school
- Rear parking area of Boylan Funeral Home
The Borough appreciates the cooperation of residents during winter weather events. Prompt vehicle removal allows Public Works to efficiently clear streets and helps keep Evans City safe and accessible for everyone.
Issued by: Borough of Evans City
